If you can believe CNN -- [insert grain of salt here] -- they are reporting that the entire country of Liechtenstein is available for rent for a mere $70K per night.  They are quick to add that it is probably a two-night minimum.

OK, at long last, I have updated the Turkey section.

I would apologize for the delay but I know some of you are still waiting for the definitive publishing of our Around the World trip, currently typed up and sitting in a box behind me.  It has been ten years, a couple more years may not hurt

I know, I know.  Eventually the Turkey notes will get finished.  I just updated Cappadocia.

Survivor: Istanbul Finalists

Group members continued to peel away.  Six became four when two left to catch their afternoon plane back to the States after breakfast on our last full day in Istanbul.  Lots of hugs and hand-holding as we delayed the inevitable final goodbye.  Suddenly, the trip felt farther and farther away.

It would be irresponsible to not mention and give credit to our fearless leader, A, who helped to make this little adventure a success.  She demonstrated exceptional qualities that both enhanced the education of travel and the collective bonding of our group.
