T minus two days and counting.
We have made it to London. So far, so good. The trip over was wonderfully uneventful. We are still a little jet-lagged, but nothing more serious than that.
So far today, we have wandered through the Great Court in the British Museum, something that was not open the last time we were in London. They have put a glass ceiling over the central courtyard, enclosing it and the Reading Room. It is very nice on sunny days like today.
Hopefully the weather will continue to hold. It is clear but kind of chilly, not so bad in our warm coats. This afternoon we are going up in the London Eye, a huge Ferris Wheel on the bank of the Thames just across from the Houses of Parliament. It should offer a great view of the city.
Thank you for all of the great notes on the message board. We enjoy hearing from you and keeping in touch.
