Departure approaches.
We have the curious requirement to pack only what will fit into a carry-on bag. To my surprise, it seems to be fitting. The joy will be to determine what it is I have forgotten.
To ease my mind and remind myself that it will all fit, I try to pack everything – including what I will be wearing out – into the luggage. That helps during those chaotic repacking moments to remember that – truly – it did all fit once.
I am tired and unfocused – time to stop for the night. Plenty of time to stress about what is in an out tomorrow – and see how much more the compression straps let me jam in.
