Sixty-eight days into the trip, our journey intersects with Fogg’s in Chicago.
Fogg made his way across the western United States by rail only to have the train ambushed in Nebraska. Use of an ice sled allows him to get to Omaha and catch the Rock Island Railroad to Chicago in time for his rail connection to New York. Although our transportation is much more efficient than 19th Century options, we have taken a more leisurely journey across the northern US with a stop in Minnesota to visit family and friends โ and drop off one ton of souvenirs.
Twelve days remain.
